A federal judge ordered the federal government to completely reinstate DACA. This is great news for Dreamers and DACA participants. You can read more about what this means in a New York Times article.
Voces Unidas de las Montañas stands with dreamers and our community. If you have not applied, we recommend that you do it as soon as possible. Because of these recent actions, we worked with partners to inform our community about what it means and how to move forward.
We hosted a DACA Informational Session last week. The session served as a platform for us to understand what information Dreamers need and connect the community with an immigration attorney to answer questions.
We had various advocates speak, all with information that was valuable to attendees. Our presenters included executive director Alex Sanchez, co-founder Janeth Stancle, national leader Marissa Molina, and immigration attorney Jennifer Smith.
Voces Unidas is committed to national immigration reform and to support our community locally with resources.
Here is the complete video from the info session.
