Preparing Latinas and Latinos for leadership roles in the central mountain region
The Líderes Institute, a program of Voces Unidas de las Montañas and Voces Unidas Action Fund, offers intensive, cohort-based training courses to prepare and place Latina and Latino leaders in decision-making tables across the valleys.
Courses sponsored by Voces Unidas de las Montañas are free of charge. Courses sponsored by Voces Unidas Action Fund are free of charge to members, unless otherwise noted.
Course themes may include:
Running for public office
Serving on non-profit boards
Serving on appointed boards and commissions
Other
Given the time commitment requirement, all participants must commit to the entire schedule of the course before being accepted to the program.

2021 COURSES
September 2021 -- Serving on Nonprofit Boards
This inaugural four-day course will provide Latina and Latino leaders with the knowledge, confidence, tools, and skills to serve successfully on a local nonprofit board of directors. Participants meet every Saturday, starting Sept. 11.
Voces Unidas will also help match graduates of the course with organizations who are recruiting new board members.
Start date: Sept. 11
End date: Oct. 2
Number of spots: Up to 10 leaders will be selected
Requirements: Leaders do not need to have any prior experience. Participants MUST be able to attend every session.
Language: Program facilitated in English and Spanish
