Western Colorado
Latino Policy Summit
Grand Junction
Saturday, October 3
Saturday, October 3, 2026
Colorado Mesa University | Grand Junction
10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
This first-of-its-kind summit will bring together more than 50 Latino leaders from across Western Colorado to identify shared priorities and continue developing policy solutions for the 2027 legislative session.

Summit participants will review findings from the 2026 Colorado Latino Policy Agenda, reflect on what the data means for Western Colorado, share what they are seeing in their own communities, and identify issues that require greater attention.

The summit will also examine recent policy wins, rollbacks, and unfinished work, including laws that still contain loopholes, protections that have been weakened, and programs that lack the funding or accessibility needed to fully serve Latino communities.

Through small-group discussions, participants will identify policy solutions that could be advanced through new legislation, changes to existing law, or the state budget. The summit will conclude with shared recommendations and priorities for continued policy development and engagement with lawmakers.
To help ensure that geography and cost do not prevent participation, Voces Unidas will cover hotel expenses for invited guests traveling long distances.

Attendance is by invitation only, and registration will open soon. Slots will be allocated by region to ensure broad representation. Voces Unidas will work with trusted nonprofit partners and community leaders to identify a diverse group of participants.

Summit participants are also invited to attend Voces Unidas' 2026 Líderes Dinner Celebration at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, at Colorado Mesa University. The evening will honor Latino leadership with awards, dinner, and live music.
