Voces Unidas de las Montañas launched a new “Vote For Our Colorado/Vota Por Nuestro Colorado” campaign to make sure Latina and Latino voters have a say in how our schools, cities, state, and federal government serve our community.
To lift up our voices, we must all play a part -- particularly when it comes to our elections.
This outreach campaign is designed to engage Latina and Latino voters in the central-mountain region of Colorado and the recently redrawn state Senate and House districts serving those communities:
Senate District 5, (covering all or parts of Pitkin, Garfield, Gunnison, Delta, and Hinsdale counties);
Senate District 8 (covering all or parts of Moffat, Rio Blanco, Garfield, Routt, Eagle, Jackson, Grand, Summit, Gilpin, and Clear Creek counties);
House District 57 (which includes all or parts of Garfield, Eagle, and Pitkin counties);
House District 26, (which includes all or parts of Moffat, Rio Blanco, Routt, and Eagle counties); and
House District 13 (which includes Jackson, Grand, Summit, Lake, Park, and Chaffee counties).
The “Vote For Our Colorado/Vota Por Nuestro Colorado” campaign includes an unprecedented targeted digital campaign intended to achieve at least 1 million impressions among Latino voters in the region before Election Day on Nov. 8 as well as bilingual phone calls and mail pieces directed to approximately 12,000 Latino households.
This campaign also includes a new website, which is a hub for information in English and Spanish to help people with the basics of participating in our democracy:
checking their voter registration and registering to vote;
developing a voting plan and learning more about how and where to vote;
knowing key dates on the election calendar;
and helping voters find answers to other questions.
Voces Unidas de las Montañas engages voters year-round. Our nonpartisan efforts help increase Latino voter turnout in the region.
