Voces Unidas de las Montañas and Voces Unidas Action Fund are pleased to introduce and welcome Mateo Lozano as Regional Organizing Manager for the Summit, Lake, and Eagle counties. Mateo joined the organization in August 2022.
From our new regional office in Frisco, Mateo has been identifying, training, coaching and mobilizing local Latina and Latino leaders to build community power and create systemic change in their communities. Originally from Colombia, Mateo grew up in Summit County— graduating from Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge with a degree in psychology.
Mateo began his career in community organizing in 2016 and has been organizing in the mountain region since 2018 with the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition, a Denver-based organization.
