Voces Unidas and COLOR will host a delegation of 15 participants and staff during our third annual national Latino Advocacy Day (LAD) on Capitol Hill in conjunction with our annual Capitol Briefing to present data from the 2025 Colorado Latino Policy Agenda (CLPA) report to federal officials, Sept. 16-18 in Washington, DC.
Co-hosted by Colorado Senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper, the Capitol Briefing is an opportunity for us to share with federal leaders insights into the demographic makeup and views of Latino voters in Colorado on pressing policy, political, and social issues. The full 2025 CLPA report will be released to local partners through a webinar scheduled for Sept. 23 in Denver.
Combining the Capitol Briefing with national Latino Advocacy Day allows us to emphasize the results of our research by bringing stories from Colorado Latinos to our elected officials during face-to-face meetings with federal policymakers.
The 2025 CLPA poll of 1,700 Latino adults conducted July 6 through Aug. 10, 2025 found that economic concerns continue to dominate the list of top policy priorities among Latinos in Colorado, although the implementation and enforcement of hostile immigration policies by the Trump administration is increasingly impacting our communities. We are holding the federal government accountable as we continue to experience violations of our constitutional rights and come to Washington looking for answers from those elected to represent us.
In addition to economic justice and immigration, we plan to discuss policies focused on health care, reproductive justice and climate justice, all of which emerged as top priority issues for Latinos in 2025.
Voces Unidas leads the Colorado Latino Agenda, a joint initiative with COLOR to conduct and publish community-informed research and create opportunities for Latinos to influence public policy.
